The health sector union coordination decided to hold a meeting today, Saturday, July 13, to formulate a detailed response to the government’s proposal and send it to its president, Aziz Akhannouch.
The coordination, which held a meeting with the Minister of Health and Social Protection yesterday, Friday, announced its commitment to implementing all the demands included in the agreement signed by the unions with the Ministry of Health.
He added that the government confirmed its approval of all the legal and legal provisions contained in the sectoral social dialogue agreement, including maintaining the current administrative and legal status of health professionals as public employees, all the benefits and guarantees granted by the general statute of the civil service, and the disbursement of wages from the general budget included in the employee wages section. According to the coordination, the government approved 12 points out of 17, and expressed its reservations on 5 points, linking some of them to certain conditions.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection stated in a statement that, with regard to the points of demand with a financial impact, the Minister presented the government’s proposal on each point separately, and this was followed by a serious, responsible and positive discussion by the trade union bodies of the government’s proposal, which expressed the need to continue the discussion with a view to actually implementing the contents of the agreement.
Minister Ait Taleb confirmed to the representatives of the trade unions his firm belief in continuing to implement the participatory approach to find solutions to the various difficulties that may hinder the proper implementation of the contents of the agreement, which will positively reflect on the valuation of human resources as a lever for the success of various reform projects.
