Health tutorial: the medical form on the smartphone

It’s a tip given by a firefighter during a first aid training course: doing your medical file on your smartphone can be very useful if something happens to you.

What’s the point ?

The medical file allows access to certain information on a person’s mobile phone without needing their security code. Example: the person feels unwell in the street, help arrives and wants to warn someone close to this person. If the latter has filled out her medical form, the emergency services will immediately know who she is, if she needs special care, what her blood type is, and the number of a relative who can be contacted.

How to complete this form?

It all depends on the person’s phone, but the process is often the same:

  • on an iPhone, first go to Settings, then Health, then Medical Record.
  • on an android, go to Settings then Security and Emergencies then Medical Information.

It’s simple and can save valuable time!
