He explained that the president approved the mental health initiative, which is led by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, for a healthy mental life.
It is noteworthy that Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health, confirmed that supporting the mental health system is a top priority for the ministry in the coming period, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership in this regard.
The minister said, in his speech during the plenary session of the House of Representatives today, Wednesday, that work is being done to include mental health hospitals within the comprehensive health insurance system in Port Said, continuing: “Health is physical health, mental health, and community health, and they are the mainstay of the health system anywhere in the world.” The world, and the mental health sector is on top of our priorities for the coming period, and we are working to implement the mandate of the President of the Republic regarding a presidential initiative for mental health in Egypt.
