Health Spokesperson: A clear decrease in corona infection rates for the third week in a row

Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, a spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population and a member of the Egyptian Health Council, revealed that for the third week in a row, a clear decrease in the rates of corona infections, which makes us reassured of the decrease.

On the other hand, he stressed during an intervention via Skype on the “Life Today” program, via Al-Hayat channel, with the media, Lubna Assal, that the Egyptian Health Council aims to control the vocational training system for all health sector workers, including doctors, dentists, pharmacists, nursing, physiotherapy and others.

He added that continuous vocational training is the paramount goal, pointing to a unified professional certificate with a unified exam, so that everyone has the same professional skills.

He explained that the goal when the patient is treated in the border and remote governorates is to ensure that medical workers have the same professional level, to receive a safe health service.

He stated that part of the council’s duties is to exchange international recognition for the certificate presented, explaining that Egyptian certificates are recognized worldwide. In 2019 the World Federation of Medical Education recognized the Education Quality Assurance Authority, as every medical school in Egypt holds an accredited Education Quality Assurance Authority certificate.

He pointed out that Egypt’s victory in hosting the International Conference of the World Medical Association is evidence of recognition of the great development that the state is implementing in the health sector.
