Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, a spokesman for the Ministry of Health, said that there is a gradual decrease in the number of infections with the Corona virus recorded in the statement today, in addition to a decrease in the number of infected people who enter hospitals during the past days, adding: “We have started to decrease Corona infections and this writes the end of the fifth wave.” He stressed that we need a decrease in infections for a week until we reach the end of the current wave.
He added, during a telephone interview with the media, Lubna Assal, through her program, Al-Hayat Al-Youm, broadcast on Al-Hayat channel: We need more time to make sure that the wave of corona infections decreases, pointing out that the ministry has started a campaign of knocking on doors in Menoufia Governorate, and it will be circulated to all governorates.
He added that when the required vaccination rates reached by countries, there will be a return to what was before Corona, and we are moving at good rates in vaccinating citizens with the Corona vaccine, adding: We need to reach 70% of the Egyptian people to be vaccinated until the return to the pre-pandemic.
He explained that the vaccination of the target groups of students or workers has been completed, adding that we need more than 12-year-olds to be vaccinated so that there is no fear of the virus.
