Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, said that the “Our Days Are Better” initiative works to raise awareness of reproductive health, and includes women, men and youth.
Abdel Ghaffar explained that the ministry frequently launches convoys for reproductive health within this initiative under the slogan “Your Right to Organize”. It’s free.
He pointed out that the ministry is currently launching 20 convoys for reproductive health, which will continue until the 23rd of this month, targeting 54 villages in 20 governorates. Gynecologists, and a group of trained family planning specialists.
Abdul Ghaffar pointed out that the citizens are informed of the date and places of carrying out the convoys, and the rural pioneers count the women who need service before the convoy, pointing to the organization of seminars during the convoy to raise citizens’ awareness of the importance of spacing between births, and the impact of family planning on the health of the mother and child.
Abdul Ghaffar pointed out that exhibitions will be held for women’s clubs, to improve demographic characteristics and empower women, as the products of women’s clubs are displayed during the campaigns, explaining that all exhibits are produced by beneficiaries who frequent health units, and who have been trained in women’s clubs, due to the importance of empowering women and their role in improving The economic income of Egyptian families.
