On the other hand, the Saudi Health Council advised parents to make sure to provide a health card for their student children.

The council explained, through its account on Twitter, that students with chronic diseases such as “epilepsy, diabetes, heart, asthma, and others” must carry a card indicating their injury. The council added: “The family must communicate with the school and provide them with the details of the student’s health condition, medications, what to do in case of emergency and symptoms indicating the presence of a danger.” The Ministry of Health has provided a set of guidelines and advice that help families take care of promoting the mental health of their children and motivate them to return to school. The ministry explained that the instructions include listening to the student’s school conversations and dialogue with him, and his participation in solving what is difficult for him, and understanding the difficulties he faces. She pointed out that the tips include encouraging the student to social relations and communication with his friends, discovering strengths and weaknesses and contributing to strengthening or reforming them, and making sure to instill positive thinking for him. The educational advisor, Misfir Al-Hazaa, also revealed the mechanism of psychological preparation of families for their children to study and liking them at school.

Al-Hazaa said that families should organize bedtime and participate in purchasing their educational needs to prepare them psychologically. The educational advisor added that preparing for the school year is the responsibility of the school and families, some of whom suffer neglect, and others suffer from excessive pressure on children. Al-Hazzaa recommended moderation in preparing children for the school year in a good way and avoiding staying up late by getting used to regular sleep schedules a week before the start of the school year. He added that families should talk to their children in a positive way, liking them at school, by addressing the importance of the participation of colleagues in the study, and giving the son a set of simple gifts for his teachers and fellow students.
