As part of its health and social action policy, the MSA Provence Azur has set up, since 2017, a respite aid system for agricultural workers (employees and non-employees) whose personal and/or professional daily life becomes too heavy to bear.

Professional exhaustion, burnout, hardship at work, health problems or even life events such as a divorce or the loss of a loved one, the causes of this malaise can be multiple.

With the support of an MSA social worker, the beneficiaries of this system can be offered one or more aids, chosen according to their needs. This can range from participation in a discussion group, consultations with a psychologist, professional coaching, replacement assistance to a respite stay.

Respite stays for farmers

Aware that rest remains essential to the physical and moral well-being of farmers, the MSA Provence Azur offers, in partnership with the Tour Carrée Holiday Village in Peymeinade, these respite stays. The goal? Allow accompanied people to get out of their daily lives and take a break to recharge their batteries and take care of themselves and their loved ones.

For five days, beneficiaries have the opportunity to take part in group workshops (sophrology, theatrical improvisation, etc.), excursions and other activities offered by the Tour Carrée Holiday Village or simply to visit the region during their free time. Sharing moments with the family in a new environment and participating in different activities far from their routine, worries related to the exploitation or to one’s health thus makes it possible to recharge one’s batteries, to catch one’s breath to start once more better.
