Health intensifies healthcare assistance to Chaco residents

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare continues to provide universal health care coverage to residents of the most remote communities in the lower Chaco, despite the coronavirus pandemic situation that the country is experiencing.

In order to carry out all the services of the Ministry of Health in the Chaco region, in the Fifteenth Health Region – Presidente Hayes, medical care is provided to communities through the mobile clinic.

In this way, the community of Teniente Fortín Caballero received comprehensive medical assistance from members of the Family Health Unit (USF) of the area, who were accompanied by the oral health and APS team.

Extramural medical assistance, dental and obstetric emergencies were the services provided. In addition, PANI milk was delivered, vaccinations for children and adults, prenatal check-ups, rapid tests for Syphilis, HIV, Hepatitis B and C.

Family planning services were also provided, including PAP, breast exams, and the promotion of proper hand washing and breastfeeding.

On the other hand, in the Teniente Esteban Martínez community, the USF of the area and the health team of the XV Sanitary Region brought to the residents pediatric and clinical medical care, dentistry, gynecology, vaccination, diabetes control, blood pressure and rapid testing.

Medicines and milk from PANI were also distributed, and people with respiratory symptoms were searched for. Finally, the residents received educational talks.
