Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Health highlighted the successful implementation of the extended-hour specialized medical care service in 35 hospitals, making a significant difference in access to healthcare for citizens who find it difficult to go during the morning and followingnoon shifts.
With a total of 271,170 consultations carried out since their implementation in August of last year, the “Night Clinics” offer citizens the opportunity to consult with specialist doctors at times that suit their daily activities. This service is available from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The specialties available at these clinics include pediatrics, gynecology, cardiology, dentistry, medical clinic and surgery, with the aim of meeting the medical needs of the population during extended hours.
The service not only helps to reduce congestion in emergency areas, but also optimizes assistance to cases requiring immediate attention and significantly reduces waiting times.
The Ministry of Health calls on the population to take advantage of these “Night Clinics” both to carry out periodic check-ups and to examine in cases of disease symptoms. The presence of specialists during these extended hours guarantees quality and timely medical care.
