The arrival of artificial intelligence in the medical field makes it possible to envisage new promising possibilities in treatment, as well as in the field of research. At the heart of the medicine of the future, AI is already used in assisted operations, remote patient monitoring and even personalized treatments, thanks to data cross-checking. These developments can also simplify certain administrative tasks, reduce the workload of doctors and support certain diagnoses.
Faced with this technological innovation, what can we expect in terms of improvements in health? How to train doctors in new practices? Can the effectiveness of AI software, by freeing up time, make it possible to recreate the link between the patient and their doctor in a health system often criticized for its dehumanization? Can this innovation further widen the existing gap, in terms of access to care, between developed and vulnerable health systems?
