Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, confirmed that the ministry issued a plan to combat cancer through rapid diagnosis and treatment of infected cases, as laboratories were equipped to reduce the time taken for procedures to facilitate treatment in the Republic, and radiology devices were distributed to tumor centers, while the development of Scanning cars for mammograms and ultrasounds, and distribution of equipment that ensures that waiting is minimized with each step, as well as the burden of commuting for examination, and two pathology laboratories have been established.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, added: “We are proceeding according to specific plans that are fully consistent with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s vision 2030 to support and develop the health sector and restructure it, to ensure the provision of medical services at international standards,” noting that there is a major transformation in the health infrastructure that is taking place. On two parallel axes, the first is the temporary operation of the comprehensive health insurance system in the governorates, and the second is the activity of the Decent Life Initiative, which works to develop medical units and centers with the same standards of comprehensive health insurance, which reduces the duration of the application of comprehensive insurance.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar added that the state strongly supports the health sector, noting that there is a great renaissance in the process of training and educating doctors and all medical workers in order to raise the efficiency of the medical service for the citizen, noting that there is a specific format, programs and plans to combat all epidemics, in addition to Establishing a disease surveillance and pandemic forecasting system.
