The Ministry of Health and Population announced that 4 ambulances were dispatched to the site of a fire that broke out this followingnoon, Tuesday, at the Anba Bishoy Church in Minya Governorate.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, confirmed that the fire did not result in any deaths, while one citizen suffocated due to smoke rising from the site of the fire, and he was treated at the scene of the accident and his condition does not require transportation to the hospital.
Abdel Ghaffar added that Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, is following up on the incident and directed to raise the degree of preparedness in Minya General Hospitals, Minya University Hospital, and Health Insurance.
He pointed out that ambulances will continue to be stationed at the scene of the accident until the complete completion of the firefighting and cooling work, in anticipation of any developments.
He explained that the ambulances arrived at the site of the fire within 6 minutes of receiving the report, noting that the ambulance operations room received the report at 2.30 pm, while the ambulances arrived at 2.36 pm.
