- A series of actions has been prepared aimed at diverse audiences that invite reflection from the artistic disciplines regarding women and art.
The National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature (Inbal) and the General Subdirectorate of Artistic Education and Research (Sgeia), through its 29 schools and four research centers, prepare a series of activities, aimed at different audiences, around the International Women’s Day –March 8–, which invite us to reflect on the importance of their participation in artistic education and research spaces and in society.
In the current administration, Inbal has promoted environments of equity and inclusive attention to diversity and gender; and is committed to maintaining the participation of women in all areas of student and academic life, as a substantive action.
In this way, Inbal and Sgeia show their commitment to zero tolerance for gender violence and in particular towards students, academics and administrators who are part of the community.
Of the activities, the exhibition stands out The look, the camera, the light and the photography. from usbelonging to the ProcineCDMX exhibition circuit, in the Gallery of the Artistic Initiation School No. 4.
Likewise, the Cultural Center Ignacio Ramirez “The Necromancer” inaugurated The Patchwork Healing Blanket, a sample of blankets made by women that make visible the violence suffered; For this reason, a collective creation community activity is also planned on March 9, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the same venue.
From March 4 to 8, the Choreographic Research Center scheduled talks and workshops, these include the realization of an immersive experience focused on enjoyment from the senses from a sensorama.
The National Center for Dance Research, Documentation and Information Jose Limonthe National Research Center, Musical Documentation Carlos Chavez and the National Center for Theater Research, Documentation and Information Rodolfo Usigli They will carry out performances, talks and conferences.
