Headed by Mohammed bin Salman.. Important new decisions by the Saudi Cabinet

The Saudi Council of Ministers reviewed the topics on its agenda, including topics that the Shura Council participated in studying. It also reviewed the conclusions reached by the Political and Security Affairs Council, the Economic and Development Affairs Council, the General Committee of the Council of Ministers, and the Experts Authority of the Council of Ministers regarding them. The Council concluded the following:

Firstly:

Approval of a Memorandum of Understanding on political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Colombia.

secondly:

Authorizing the Minister of Culture to negotiate with the Turkmen side regarding the draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the cultural field between the Ministry of Culture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Culture in Turkmenistan, and to sign it.

Third:

Approval of a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the field of the future of modern transportation methods between the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Climate in the Republic of Estonia.

Fourth:

Approval of two memoranda of understanding between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the Republic of Mauritius and the Government of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka for cooperation in the field of encouraging direct investment.

Fifth:

Authorizing the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Food Security, to negotiate with the Qatari side regarding the draft memorandum of understanding between the General Authority for Food Security in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Municipality in the State of Qatar, in the field of food security, and to sign it.

Sixth:

Approval of a Memorandum of Understanding between the General Administration of Financial Investigations of the Presidency of State Security in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Office in the Republic of Iraq, in the field of exchanging financial investigations related to combating money laundering and terrorist financing.

Seventh:

Approval of a Memorandum of Understanding between the General Auditing Bureau in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Court of Auditors in the Tunisian Republic, for cooperation in the field of accounting, auditing and professional work.

Eighth:

Approval of the final account of the Madinah Region Development Authority for the previous fiscal year.

Ninth:

Approval of promotions and appointments at the (fifteenth) and (fourteenth) ranks, as follows:

– Promoting Abdulrahman bin Saud bin Mohammed Al-Mar’aba to the position of (Senior Business Advisor) at the (fifteenth) rank in the Ministry of Interior.

– Promoting Musaed bin Saleh bin Nasser Al-Khunainy to the position of (Senior Strategy Advisor) at the (fifteenth) rank at the Ministry of Interior.

– Promoting Adhal bin Khalaf bin Matar Al Ghaithi Al Shamri to the position of (Director General) at the (fourteenth) rank at the Ministry of Energy.

– Appointing Badah bin Khalifa bin Daghim Al-Sharihi Al-Shammari to the position of (Deputy Emir of the Region) at the (fourteenth) rank in the Emirate of Jazan Region.
