On Thursday evening around 8 p.m., there was a violent accident on rue de Suarlée in Floriffoux. The accident involved a man driving a BMW and a woman in a Citröen C1, who collided head-on. The woman was seriously injured and rescued from her vehicle before being transported to CHR Namur. Meanwhile, the BMW driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to Sainte-Elisabeth Hospital in Salzinnes. To carry out the rescue operations, the firefighters from the Val de Sambre area, the SMUR from Namur, and the police from the Entre-Sambre and Meuse area were dispatched to the scene.

The lady, seriously injured, was extricated from her vehicle before being transported to CHR Namur.

For his part, the driver of the BMW, slightly injured, was transferred to Sainte-Elisabeth, in Salzinnes.
