Emmanuel Gets, lives in Péruwelz, alone, in his parents’ house when he was arrested by the police in June 2018. It is in this entity that he taught religion in seven schools of the nine municipal schools in the city. It was still in Péruwelz that he devoted himself to his passion for singing, as a member of the Royal Union chorale Saint-Quentin. Singing was therefore not his only activity outside of teaching religion. The teacher supplied drugs, marijuana, to former pupils attending a higher school in Péruwelz.

Thus, the correctional court of Hainaut, division of Tournai, sentenced, on Monday, Emmanuel Gets to a one-year prison term, with a five-year suspension, and a fine of 8,000 euros for having detained, sold and facilitated the use of cannabis by minors. He was acquitted for the possession of child pornography images.
