The authorities found the elderly woman lying on the floor of her country house, in a pool of blood, while there were bloody footprints at the scene.
The door of the 84-year-old woman’s house showed no signs of tampering, which leads the authorities to conclude that the perpetrator was an acquaintance of the victim.
Additionally, the key was on the door and her purse was found on a nightstand. The authorities believe that the 84-year-old woman knew her killer.
The 84-year-old allegedly had a large fortune, while according to the testimonies of her relatives, she was beaten by her ex-partner, who, however, now lives in a nursing home.
Stavros Balaskas, special police analyst, said about the case.
“The knife pierced her lung. It went straight to the heart and left immediately. We found footprints from a shoe with a certain number. Relatives are investigated and alibis are identified. He knew the killer. He had many properties and they say that some relatives should write them down. The information states that she had a previous marriage and a relationship with a man who was abusive.”
The cousin of the unfortunate woman, Mr. Loukas, also spoke on the show.
“I don’t know many things. I made phone calls to her and she wouldn’t answer and we called the police and found her with the police when we went home. I was shocked when I saw her. There was an old story with controversy but it had ended. They had a dispute with her husband’s relatives when he died but it was resolved and it’s been 10 years. Her partner was abusive, We had also gone to the police together. We last spoke on Friday. Here he had no relatives and friends, only one cousin and us. She always kept some money at home because she was a big woman. Apparently he rang the bell. She had not sorted out her inheritance but was thinking about where to leave what.”
