He was arrested for hitting his girlfriend: he was driving with 1.9 alcohol in his blood

Ten minutes before 7 a.m. on Saturday, police officers from the Urdinarrain Police Station were alerted by Municipal Traffic officers about an argument between a couple on Dr. Silva Street, between Urquiza and Presidente Perón.

When the officers arrived at the scene, they noticed visible marks on the face of the young woman who was accompanying the driver and when asked what had happened to her, she stated that she had been beaten by her partner.

The 24-year-old aggressor was arrested by order of the on-duty Gender Prosecutor and taken to the Gualeguaychú Departmental Headquarters. The Municipal Traffic personnel of Urdinarrain performed a breathalyzer test and showed a result of 1.91 g/l of alcohol in the blood and, consequently, his vehicle was impounded. Meanwhile, the young woman was taken by ambulance to receive medical attention and then filed the corresponding complaint.
