Harsh criticism of Stefanos Kasselakis exercised the executive of SYRIZA, George Tsipras, who spoke to Panagiotis Stathis and Yiannis Kolokythas about the developments currently taking place in the official opposition party.
“We didn’t do just one m@@@@ to SYRIZA” admitted Giorgos Tsipras, commenting on the remark of Pavlos Polakis about the Kasselakis case at the Political Secretariat.
As Giorgos Tsipras said at OPEN“it is obvious that Kasselakis is heading towards a new party. I don’t think he’s counting on the conference, he’s lost it but he sees it as an opportunity for a heroic exit.”
Mr. Tsipras argued that “their candidates are defined by the party and not generally by the people, the base of the party, the congress”.
He recalled, in fact, that “at the last congress, which was unprecedented in terms of sycophancy, slogans such as “Stefan, finish with SYRIZA” were heard, which were not from members of the congress, they did not have a card, but from blabbermouths like those in the Central Committee”.
He added that “what happened at the conference should have started as a historic process from December, not a withdrawal of trust with a good morning, but “boy, we can’t continue, this is not how it works, you say your stuff outside, you write everything on your shoes and the people of SYRIZA are moving away”.
According to what he said, “the situation in SYRIZA is being saved, but very difficult. Stefanos Kasselakis cannot serve another perspective, the question is whether SYRIZA can do it.”
Referring to the statements of MPs who support Stefanos Kasselakis that they will leave if he is not a candidate, George Tsipras commented that “the attitude of Kasselakis’ side is either I’m the one or hello and we’re leaving. He is going to get a SYRIZA shell to do something else, the brand name and the state funding. He is not interested in the future of SYRIZA, but in his own future.”
