Ten days following the tragedy, the pain obviously remains intense. Last Thursday evening, August 4, Eika, a dog, is like this dead electrocuted by a defective light spot in Rueil-Malmaison, in the Hauts-de-Seine. Le Parisien reports that shortly before, a storm broke out in the town. The animal placed its paw on the spot on the ground, and for François, the dog’s guardian, the spectacle was one of what we suppose to be extreme pain: “All its members were restless, […] everything was moving in all directions”.

The cries of the dog and her master soon alerted customers of a nearby restaurant. For his part, François tried to rescue Eika, but in doing so, received a powerful electric shock. It was following twice moving his dog’s body that he understood what she had just suffered: a light spot on the glass filled with condensation. “As there was no light, it’s true that it was not easy to realize. […] But it was too late”.

More than a week following the death of his dog, François is not getting angry: “I don’t understand how we can leave equipment like that to deteriorate, when there is a school right behind it”. The resident wants file a complaint once morest the town hall.

A diagnosis expected from the service provider

The municipality claims to have done the necessary following theaccident, and that the service provider, Eiffage, was alerted the same evening by the municipal police. The company is now expected to carry out a diagnosis and thus determine the precise causes of this electrocution.
