MEXICO CITY.- A young American went viral on social networks, following sharing that performed a 3D scan of his deceased dog to visit it thanks to virtual reality and, with the arrival of the Day of the Dead celebration, honor it.
The story was revealed through X, formerly Twitter. The user @Wolkwhisky posted a video showing his pet lying on the beach, because that would be his last trip.
The video description reads:
“I did a 3D scan of my dog Sam a couple of years ago. He passed away 7 months ago, I still miss her a lot. I still visit her in this beach scene I made in @UnrealEngine in VR because our last trip was supposed to be a little beach vacation, but her health didn’t let us go.”
As of this Wednesday, the video has 641 thousand views and more than 6 thousand likes.
Virtual reality (VR) is an environment of life-like simulated scenes and objects. The most common meaning refers to an environment generated by computer technology, which creates in the user the feeling of being immersed in it.
Virtual reality is created through the use of a variety of technologies, including the following:

– Motion controllers: These devices allow the user to interact with the virtual environment.
– Tracking sensors: These sensors track the movement of the user and the virtual environment.
