Eric Ten Haag has been selected as the best coach in the English Premier League. Rashford is the best player. With this, Manchester United won the award for the best player and coach of the month of September. Both of them won the award through voting.
The last Manchester United coach to win this award was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 2019. Ten Haag received the award immediately following taking the position on the strength of the huge change he brought regarding in the team. Despite losing the first two matches, Ten Haag led the team to victory in the next four matches. United beat Liverpool, Arsenal and Leicester City.
Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford was also selected as the Premier League Player of the Month for September. Rashford scored two goals and provided two assists in two games last month. This is the first time since January 2019 that Rashford has won the best player award.
Ten Haag’s progress has overtaken Tottenham’s Antonio Conte and Burnmouth’s Gary O’Neill. Ten Haag, who joined United this season from Ajax, has brought in new players and led the team in a good manner.
Apart from Rashford, Bournemouth’s Philip Billing, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, Tottenham’s Hoiberg, Everton’s Alex Iwobi and Aston Villa’s Jacob were in the final round.
United are currently fifth in the Premier League points table with three wins from their last five matches. Manchester United will travel to the Etihad Stadium on October 2 for the Manchester derby.
