His new beard trimmer being defective, Bradley, a 29-year-old Belgian, sent it back to Coolblue, the website on which he had bought it. But unfortunately for him, not everything went as planned. Bradley sent the parcel via bpost, but the seller claims to have never received anything.
It was a few months following its purchase that Bradley’s mower gave up the ghost. “I followed the procedure indicated by Coolblue. When I asked for a status following a few weeks, I was told that they had not received a return, ”explains the Belgian in the columns of the Importance of Limburg.
But what is all the more strange is that bpost did indeed have proof of delivery of the package. “I showed this to Coolblue, but they didn’t have my device. I had to contact bpost and if I wanted a mower I had to buy a new one,” a disgruntled Bradley laments. “It’s not a question of money, but of principle,” he adds.
But unfortunately for Bradley, if a package doesn’t arrive, the sender is responsible. If you are the sender yourself, in the event that the package has not been delivered, you must contact your postman. In the event of loss, the post office reimburses you, provided that you have taken out good insurance. In Bradley’s case, bpost maintains that the package has been delivered. But Coolblue denies this. “The return was never delivered to us by bpost, despite the information that can be found on their Track & Trace. In principle, therefore, it is not up to Coolblue to solve this. But we decided to fix it. We will be supplying Bradley with a brand new razor, which will be delivered tomorrow,” Coolblue said.
Two months following the incident, Bradley can once more groom his beard with his trimmer.
