According to the cretalive.gr and what both reported to the Central Port Authority of Heraklion, on Friday night the two were riding a low displacement motorcycle in their swimsuits.
At some point they stopped at the traffic lights, at the roundabout, at the height of OLI. While they were waiting for the light to turn green, the husband realized from the mirror that the driver of the two-wheeler behind, had taken out his mobile phone and was taking pictures of the 25-year-old.
With the two-wheeler driver continuing, the 25-year-old’s husband then approached him to make a remark and asked for his mobile phone to delete the photos.
The driver refused, but the husband of the 25-year-old woman took the mobile phone from his hands and found that he had taken a photo of his wife’s behind.
Annoyed, the young couple asked the driver to unlock his cell phone to delete the photos in front of her as she had no right to do so.
However, according to what both testified later, the driver grabbed his cell phone from the 25-year-old woman who was holding it at the time and started to leave.
“He stepped on the accelerator and instead of swerving to his right to avoid me and go ahead, he headed straight for me and hit me with intent. I lost my balance and reflexively to avoid falling, I held on to the handle bar at the back of the bike, as a result of which it dragged me on the road, at a distance of about 20 meters. Due to the shock, I didn’t understand what was happening. I was yelling at him “stop, stop, I’m in pain” and he was telling me “let go of the engine” and he had full throttle, to force me to let go of the handle,” he describes.
At some point, the 25-year-old left the grill and found herself in the middle of the road, dazed and injured. “Cars were passing and there was a risk of injuring me. The unknown man hit me with the motorcycle, dragged me about 20 meters and abandoned me,” she described.
The 25-year-old gave a statement to the Port Authority of Heraklion, which is conducting the preliminary investigation into the incident, while today she is expected to be examined by a medical examiner, as her body is full of wounds from being dragged on the road.
What she wants, as well as her husband, is for the driver to be found and punished.
