Speaking to OPEN, his father Dimitris Karousis said that the 26-year-old, who was murdered in Tel Aviv, always believed in peace and love and how he “sacrificed himself as a witness to this ideology”.
“Jonas always believed that there is a path of peace and love, even for enemies. He believed a lot in the ideological message of Christ, he believed that it is what can bring all people together. This love and faith. Unfortunately, my child was sacrificed as a witness to this ideology,” he said initially and continued: “I am here with my son’s friends. They are all not just heartbroken, they all loved him. He had not an inch of malice in him. Jonah reflected love, warmth and light everywhere. Who did these bastards find to hit?’

For his part, Nikos Grigoriadis, Iona’s godfather said: “From a young age he had a talent for painting and music. He played the piano. The funeral of Iona Karousis will take place on Saturday, at 12:00, in the Greek Orthodox cemetery at the Gate of the Prophet David or Gate of Zion, in the old city of Jerusalem. At the same time, a memorial service will be held in Thessaloniki, as reported by his girlfriend, Margarita, on social media.

Based on photos from the time he served his term, they completely justify the murder of the student of Greek origin saying that he chose to die because he went to Israel. A post of blind hatred, which is obviously aimed at a specific audience in our country and does not work in favor of the people who wrote it enjoying the security provided by Greece.
Naturally, the internet was in an uproar. In the comments, many users were quick to react to what the post says, saying that it is a “shame” and that these claims justify “murders of civilians and children”, while some stressed that the killers could not have known who the people they shot were accidentally on the street and that, in any case, he was executed as a civilian and not in the context of a war conflict.
