As we reported on Saturday morning, the tragic news was confirmed by Korneliusz “N3jxiom” Rzeźwicki from the Fantasy team, to which DEV also belonged. “On Friday we lost our friend. Dawid “DEV” Błach passed away. In such a situation it is difficult to write anything more. We sympathize with his wife, son and the rest of the family. They know best how loving and simply a good person Dawid was and how great he is. it’s a loss for all of us. Rest in peace. Viewers, we ask you to respect the privacy of DEV’s loved ones,” reads the official statement.
An account of the person who was supposed to resuscitate Dawid appeared on the X website. “It was a loose game at the end of training. […] Suddenly, without contact with the opponent, from a completely different side where the game was being played, he fell to the ground. Immediately, my second trainer, Artur, and I started a rescue operation. We were taught in training how to act and how to behave. We kept our cool, fought for Dawid with all our strength, resuscitating him in turns, until the first medical team arrived… but no one during the training taught us what to do next, even if it didn’t work… I kept believing that he would wake up ” – we read.
“It broke my heart when the paramedic said to me: ‘You did a great job, gentlemen, but unfortunately you couldn’t save him.’ something more, stronger. My heart broke for the second time when I was putting David’s things into his bag and his phone started ringing, and his son appeared on the screen. I felt terrible about it was taught, but it turned out that it didn’t help. I feel very sorry for the family, especially for this beautiful child who lost his father. I didn’t know Dawid, but I feel like I lost someone really close to me… I can’t come to terms with it.

The news about DEV’s death was first reported on Instagram by the aforementioned YouTuber, well-known in the gaming and sports community – Olaf “Flash” Kubat. He published a short comment under Błach’s last post. “Rest in peace my friend,” he wrote. Shortly afterwards, he also posted two short reports on his profile. In the first one, he showed a black and white photo with DEV next to him.
For many years, Błach was one of the leading Polish YouTubers associated with FIFA and EA FC 24 and at the same time a member of the Fantasy team, which also includes, among others, Patryk “Lachu” Lach, Jakub “Jcob” Weber or Korneliusz “N3jxiom” Rzeźwicki. For some time he no longer had such reach and views, but despite falling popularity he still recorded and provided entertainment to his most loyal viewers.
Just over two years ago, DEV and his wife had a son. The YouTuber eagerly shared his private life on social media. Not so long ago – on March 17 – he celebrated his 31st birthday. “My whole life in 36 seconds, thanks for all the birthday wishes,” he wrote on Instagram.
