Dozens of people participate every day in The 8 million steps (eltrec) hoping to win the coveted prize. Although many fall by the wayside, several manage to fulfill their dream. However, there are few who can boast of having taken, not only one, but two million pesos following participating for the second time. In this select group is Diego, who admitted having signed up thanks to his daughter. After consecrating himself as the winner on Thursday night, he returned in the Tuesday followingnoon edition and, once more in the final, he took the opportunity to express an unexpected thanks.
After years of his friends and acquaintances telling him that he should sign up for a program that would test his knowledge, Diego considered that it was time to listen to them and sent the registration form to be part of one of the editions of The 8 million steps. Nevertheless, It was not pure will, but his decision was influenced by his 18-year-old daughter, who was responsible for convincing him.
During his participation, he agreed with all those who recommended him to try his luck, since –despite his extreme shyness – managed to advance firmly and safely to the end of the competition. Already located on the eighth step, he went head to head once morest Martín and, although they started the last round of questions tied, the bank manager was able to gain ground.
