Kamal recalled that although most of the scenes of Subhayatra were shot in Mumbai, some parts were also shot in Chennai. I went to Chennai to shoot the interior of the houses in the style of the houses in Mumbai. The scenes of Innocent’s house are being shot at Arumpakkam, set up like a street in Mumbai. Innocent, KPAC Lalitha, Jayaram and Parvathy. The shooting started two days before Onam, but the work had to continue even on Thiruvananthapuram.
