In a new violation by the Houthi militia in the Yemeni capital, a frightening video that spread during the past hours, among Yemenis through communication sites, documented what a Houthi supervisor did to a child in Sana’a.
A Houthi member appeared in the video, which spread like wildfire, kicking a child in a market in Sana’a, then lifting him and throwing him to the ground, in a brutal scene that sparked widespread anger.
While it turned out that Al-Saghir was the son of a fruit and vegetable seller, and Al-Houthi kicked him when he objected to the supervisor and his armed men blackmailing his father and assaulting him, according to local media.
It turned out that the assailant works in the Public Works Office in the capital’s secretariat, and he opened fire to intimidate the child’s family and the citizens who gathered to rescue the little boy from his hands in the Dar Salam area, Sana’a.
It is noteworthy that many human rights organizations had previously criticized the Houthi violations suffered by civilians in militia-controlled areas.
The US Special Envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, also recently addressed the Houthi violations and harassment of Yemenis living in the capital, Sana’a, stressing the United States’ commitment to the Yemenis in Sana’a, who have suffered arrest, threats, and harassment from the Houthis.
In addition, he stressed that these violations are only the latest episode in a series of Houthi actions once morest Yemeni civilians, as he put it.
