He murdered a septuagenarian because “his religious saint” revealed alleged witchcraft to him

The victim died due to severe head trauma. As evidence, a stone, a segment of reinforced concrete and a key ring were collected.

A commission of the Coordination of Investigations of Crimes Against Persons, in the Portuguesa state, clarified the murder of a 72-year-old man, who worked as a messenger for the Guanare Bar Association.

The alleged murderer confessed that he murdered the septuagenarian following he heard the voice of “his religious saint”, who would have revealed to him that the victim performed acts of “witchcraft” on him.

Douglas Rico, director of the Criminal, Scientific, and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc), published it on his social networks.

The official also added that the suspect assumed that they wanted to take away his grandmother’s house, a reason that led him to commit the murder.

Investigations identified the body and found that it had injuries made with blunt objects to the head and face.

The Cicpc later verified that “the deceased was an assistant to the aggressor’s grandmother for a long time and in exchange for this, the woman offered him to live in the back of the house, which was located in the Las Flores sector,” according to Rico noted on Instagram.

The older adult died due to severe head trauma. As evidence, a stone, a segment of reinforced concrete, a key chain, and the victim’s clothing were collected.
