When the Russians invaded Ukraine, Tony Garnett and his ex-girlfriend decided to volunteer to take in refugees fleeing the war. He then met Sofia Karkadym, a 22-year-old Ukrainian girl, on Facebook. At the beginning of May, she was lucky enough to move to Bradford, with Tony and his wife.
Between them, the current passed very well. To the point that Tony’s wife feels something and asks Sofia to leave their home. And Tony followed her.
Their story caused a stir and impacted Tony’s professional life. He, who has set up his own security company, told the Daily Star that he had lost contracts and now had money problems.
It is his agency that works with the NHS hospital in Bradford. But since his affair with Sofia, many journalists and paparazzi have been asking Tony’s staff to collect his phone number for interviews. Faced with this situation, the hospital decided to stop working with Tony’s box. This contract allowed him to earn 2000 pounds per week.
“I went from a salary of almost 2,000 pounds (2,357 euros) a week to nothing because of the media who question my security guards, at their workplace, to extract my telephone number from them” tells Tony to our colleagues from the Daily Star.
Tony Garnett hopes to rebuild his financial health through comedy and music. He also released a piece of rap regarding his love affair with Sofia.
