In front of the Giza Criminal Court, “Nahed” stood bewildered, her eyes brimming with tears at the separation of her only sweet-liver, Amal, the victim of her aunt’s son, “Andrew”, during the fourth session of his trial by beheading her after he failed to rape her.
Sadness completely changed the features of the child’s parents, as the mother did not sleep one night without crying: “She used to talk to me before she slept, she herself would see a doctor.”
The defeated father was steadfast when he watched the accused create the bars, begging him to forgive what he had done against his daughter: “Peshawarli was lying on her chest.”
Nasri did not imagine that his nephew “Andrew” was the accused of slaughtering his baby daughter: “He was with me on the murderer and he said, By God, I will kill his mother, my uncle… In the other, he is the one who came out with this currency worker.”
The parents of the child, “Amal”, are anxiously awaiting the court’s judgment by convicting the accused, with a ruling that satisfies them and heals their bitterness: “Lord, today the case is settled…so that we can rest for a while.”
Today, Saturday, the third circuit of the South Giza Criminal Court, headed by Counselor Abdel Shafi Mohamed Othman, is considering the fourth session of the trial of “Andrew”, accused of killing his uncle, “Amal Nasri”, known in the media as “Talibat Al-Barajil”.
