A presenter from CBS 8 in San Diego has unwittingly made a cute advertisement for the Apple Watch.
Marcella Lee and her family were skiing in Colorado in harsher than usual weather conditions. After several days, the son of Marcella Lee, 16, still might not acclimatize and even refuses to ski. Worried regarding the turn of events, the presenter then decides to use her Apple Watch to measure the oxygen saturation of her son.
She testified: “I quickly put the watch on my son and as the seconds ticked by, what showed up was a frightening 66% oxygen saturation.”
Panicked, she takes her son directly to the hospital. On site, the doctor noted an oxygen saturation of 67%, a point difference from that of the Apple Watch. A few more hours in this state and the boy would have fallen into a coma.
