Moussa Sangare, the 31-year-old arrested for the murder of Sharon Verzeni, will be questioned in prison in Bergamo on Monday at 9 a.m. The prosecutor Emanuele Marchisio and the acting prosecutor Maria Cristina Rota today asked the investigating judge to validate the arrest of Sangare, accused of murder with the aggravating circumstance of premeditation and futile motives.

Sangare himself reported the victim’s words to investigators, while he confessed to the murder during questioning in the barracks of the provincial command of the Carabinieri in Bergamo. Before stabbing Verzeni with a stab to the chest, followed by three to the back, Sangare – according to him – apologized in advance to the 33-year-old, as if to warn her of the stab wounds he was about to inflict.

The news that emerged today made Deputy Prime Minister and leader of the League Matteo Salvini lash out: “Don’t make him look like a ‘crazy’ guy, he’s just a cruel murderer who deserves life in prison.”
