“He is a person who respects laws and court decisions”: R. Kurlianskis has already paid a fine

This week the Court of Appeal of Lithuania announced the verdictwhich sentenced R. Kurlianski to six years in prison and almost 19,000 fines. EUR fine.

Former leader of the Liberal Movement Eligijus Masiulis and parliamentarian Vytautas Gapšys, representative of the Labor Party, were also sentenced to imprisonment in the “MG Baltic” case.

The decision of the Court of Appeal of Lithuania entered into force immediately, but it can be appealed to the Supreme Court of Lithuania within three months.

His press representative Rimantė Krauliše on Thursday evening 15min stated that no complaints have been received yet, but it turned out that one cassation complaint together with a request to suspend the execution of the prison sentence will reach the Court in the near future.

This 15min confirmed R. Kurlianskis’ defender, well-known national lawyer Giedrius Danėlius, who also revealed that his client has already paid the fine imposed by the Lithuanian Court of Appeal.
