A 44-year-old woman was arrested by officials from the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc), attached to the West Municipal Delegation, for assaulting a female with a hammer and stealing her nine-month-old daughter. .
The authorities received the complaint and began investigations to find the whereregardings of the baby, who was hidden in the Federico Quiroz sector in Caracas, where she was rescued in perfect health. In the rescue operation, the woman was arrested.
According to what was reported by the national director of the Cicpc, Douglas Rico, the lady had pretended to be pregnant to “retain” her partner, with whom she frequently had arguments.
The detainee planned to get a baby girl and pass her off as her daughter. For several days she studied the routine of her victims, until she decided to approach the mother of the little girl to do a survey and obtain benefits for the minor.
The information collected that day allowed him to arrive at the house the next day and bring him various supplies. During her visit, she took advantage of her young mother’s carelessness, to hit her with a hammer and flee the place with the baby.
Once he had the baby in his possession, he contacted his partner and informed him that it was his daughter; In addition, she demanded money for her maintenance, committing the crime of extortion.
The case was left to the order of the Public Ministry.
