Three people, two women and one man, were arrested for the murder of Andrea Reyna Esclusa, 36 years old, which occurred in El Hatillo, Miranda state.
Douglas Rico, director of the Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigations Corps (Cicpc), announced that GE Reyna Esclusa (30) apparently hanged her sister, due to an argument they had.
After that, he put her to bed with her mother and sister, to pass it off as an accidental death, says the official version.
However, following performing the autopsy, it was determined that the cause of death was mechanical asphyxia due to extrinsic compression of the neck.
It was there when they proceed to question the family and the facts are discovered. Rico pointed out that the victim’s mother and her other sister “omitted information regarding the facts.”
For this reason, MC Esclusa de Reyna, 63, and MC Reyna Esclusa, 38, were also arrested.
At the time of the arrest, inside the house there were three pistols and a revolver of different brands, models and calibers; 1,466 ammunition, 103 percussion caps, two lead smelting machines for projectiles, two ammunition reloading presses and two molds to make ammunition.
Therefore, they were placed under the orders of the 24th Prosecutor’s Office and the 41st Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry of the Caracas Metropolitan Area.
