Since the release of Elden Ring, speedrunners have been striving to complete the game as quickly as possible. One of them pulled off a hell of a performance by reaching the credits in 12 minutes and 32 seconds.
It’s a discipline that has become more and more popular over the years: speedrunning. This takes different forms but the end goal is always the same: to complete the game as quickly as possible. To achieve the challenge, players sometimes have to deal with constraints. Last month, the speedrunner “niko bellic” had thus managed to complete Elden Ring in 2 hours 35 minutes and 25 seconds. And without dying!
He had notably defeated all the bosses scattered in the Souls-like. This is not the case of MitChriz who used a special trick called “zipping” to reach the end of the game in the blink of an eye. This glitch makes it possible to travel great distances at lightning speed. Enough to set a new record in the unrestricted speedrunning category. A category where players are not required to complete all stages or obtain all runes, the main objective being simply to reach the end of the game as quickly as possible. A speedrun without constraints, in short!

Elden Ring: 12 minutes and 32 seconds to complete the game!
Through this ruse, MitChriz bypassed the Limgrave region to go directly to Liurnia. He then went through a now available door to access the endgame area. Thanks to the glitch, he reached the final boss by skipping all of his predecessors. After defeating him, he was able to set a new speedrunning record: 12 minutes and 32 seconds! Note that he did not use dance pad to beat the final boss of Elden Ring, unlike player “u/Ugoroszczak”.
To take a closer look at this remarkable performance, we have slipped you MitChriz’s video below. There are obviously a whole host of different ways to complete FromSoftware’s game. One player even managed to finish Elden Ring without ever fighting !
