Paris Percy Hall in the French capital witnessed an unfortunate accident, when Haitian singer Michael Benjamin died on stage while performing in front of 10,000 spectators.
Activists on the communication sites circulated a video recording of the singer, the moment he fell unconscious, amid the shock of the band members and the loud voices of the masses, where he breathed his last.

According to media reports, Benjamin was clearly showing signs of fatigue before the concert began, to fall ill during the show, while the ambulance crew was unable to save his life, as he passed away at the age of 41.
Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry expressed his shock following hearing the news of the death, and wrote on Twitter: “The death of a creative young artist who was a big name in the world of Haitian music,” saying that the country and young people had lost a good spirit, and offered his condolences to the singer’s family, friends and artistic community.

The singer’s last tweet was hours before the concert, as he wished “good luck to my big brothers tonight,” in reference to the band (Karim). He thanked those who opened the way for him, and said, “Haiti loves you very much, so may love and light accompany you in tonight’s party.”

Michaël BENJAMIN died following a malaise following his performance, this Saturday, with the group #CARIMI at the Accor Arena. The Haitian musical world is in mourning. Several personalities have already welcomed the departure of this great Haitian music including the ex-PM #ClaudeJoseph.
