A lady in her forties lost her life, on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, in Gesves, as a result of a marital argument.
At around midnight on Tuesday night, a 44-year-old man called the emergency services. He explained that he had just stabbed his wife several times.
When the ambulances and the teams of the police area of the Arches intervened in this house located at number 113 of the rue les Fonds, it was too late for the victim. She had succumbed to her injuries.
According to the first elements, this was a scene of domestic violence, the outcome of which turned out to be fatal.
The man is not unknown to justice. He has previous convictions for domestic violence offences involving the same victim. The judgment, with a series of conditions, was upheld on appeal in 2011.
The injured man himself was taken to a hospital, where he remains on Wednesday afternoon.
The couple lived in Gesves with a three-year-old child, who was taken in by the family.
The investigation was resumed by the Federal Judicial Police, which, in particular, dispatched the scientific laboratory. The technicians are still at work at the moment.
