In the first two matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Australia surrendered without being able to keep ahead of India. A comeback is possible for the Aussies only if miracles happen. Aussie legend Brett Lee, however, is very optimistic and has some warnings for the Indian team.
One of the Aussies who has shone so far in the series is spinner Todd Murphy. Murphy took seven wickets in his maiden game. Lee insists that Murphy is a descendant of Nathan Lion.
“Who following the lion? Australia seems to have found the answer to this question through 22-year-old superstar off-spinner Todd Murphy. “Despite losing the first match once morest India, Murphy’s performance stood out,” praised Brett Lee on his YouTube channel.
“Murphy took seven wickets at Nagpur for 124 runs. Murphy’s wickets include KL Rahul, Ravi Ashwin, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja. “My hope is that Murphy will be able to perform even better in the difficult conditions in India,” Lee added.
Lee said that not only India but other teams should face Murphy carefully. What attracted Lee to Murphy was his impressive performance in one of the toughest series, the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
