He dismembered a 19-year-old woman and threw her dismembered body in the streets of the city

A Milwaukee man allegedly murdered a college student after a date, then dismembered her body with a chainsaw and scattered the remains across the city, according to court documents.

Maxwell Anderson, 33, was charged Friday with killing 19-year-old Sade Carleena Robinson. The woman suddenly disappeared after allegedly going out on a date with the accused on April 1, according to CNN.

Robinson studied law at Milwaukee Technical College. She allegedly spoke to an employee at her apartment building about how excited she was to go on a date that night, according to a criminal complaint against Anderson.

“I’m in the mood for seafood,” she texted the suspect before they met for a meal.

But when Robinson didn’t show up the next day at the pizzeria where she worked, friends and colleagues began to worry.

Police searched her home but were unable to find Robinson.

The burnt car and the amputated leg

On April 3, Robinson’s car, a 2020 Honda Civic, was found destroyed by fire on a North Milwaukee corner. Inside the burned vehicle were found remnants of clothing that matched what she was wearing on the date.

Later that day, a human foot was found miles away in a Michigan beach park with DNA matching Robinson’s, according to the lawsuit.

A few days later, a leg and pieces of human flesh were found in various locations near where the 19-year-old’s car was found.

Anderson was arrested on April 4 after security camera footage and witnesses linked him to Robinson’s date and an apparent attempt to hide her body parts.

Workers at the Twisted Fisherman restaurant confirmed the pair had dined there on April 1 before heading to a bar downtown.

Robinson’s phone showed she went to Anderson’s home after 9 p.m., the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

After midnight, her phone began ringing at various locations throughout Milwaukee, before finally going off at about 4:30 a.m. near the beach park where her severed leg was found.

Video from a park security camera captured a car matching Robinson’s and a person walking back and forth from the car to the beach.

A few hours later, the wrecked Honda was spotted miles to the north and Anderson was seen leaving the area on a bus for his home.

According to the lawsuit, “The defendant intentionally killed and then dismembered Robinson in an attempt to conceal the murder, and this occurred between the defendant’s arrival at the residence and his departure from the Warnimont Park area,” as reported by CNN.

While the search for the rest of Robinson’s remains continues, her family is inconsolable by the brutality of her murder.

The outburst of the victim’s mother

Robinson’s mother, Sheena Scarbrough, called Anderson a “sick ass” after he was charged.

“Who the hell would do such a thing to my beautiful baby? He didn’t hurt anyone. He didn’t hurt anybody,” he said, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The mother described her daughter as “a beautiful angel”. “Everywhere she went, people just admired my baby,” she said. “She had her whole life ahead of her”

An attorney for Anderson told CNN that he is “presumed innocent until proven guilty” and plans to “fight vigorously” to have the charges dismissed.

The suspect has at least three domestic violence convictions dating back to 2014, including an incident where he beat a man who intervened while Anderson was fighting with a woman in the street.

He is now charged with first degree murder, dismemberment and arson.
