While Phillipe, a fifty-year-old from Pas-de-Calais was quietly preparing his meal, he discovered an unusual object in a bag of Harvest Basket frozen foods on sale at Lidl.
Indeed, Philippe discovered a piece of wood in the middle of hash brownshe confided, in the columns of the newspaper The voice of the North.

This piece of wood, which we have no doubt surprised the Lidl customer, could come from a pallet. The latter was then several centimeters long.
Faithful to Lidl, Philippe admits never having encountered similar problems. But he still wanted to inform Lidl.

Regarding the piece of wood that Philippe found in the bag of hash browns, the brand confirmed having received “customer request July 22” and said she was going to follow this case very closely:
“We are sorry for this disappointment. From the batch number we will be able to carry out targeted investigations with the supplier and will therefore come back to the customer as soon as possible. Our supplier also performs extensive quality controls to ensure product safety and quality,” then replied Lidl.
Note, however, that this is the only complaint of this type to date! Lidl has therefore promised to reimburse the customer and to grant him a commercial gesture.
A few days earlier, Lidl had already had to apologize after the discovery by a British client… A lizard’s head in a vegan Bolognese sauce!
