The son of the Saudi detainee continued: “At the conclusion of the session, the representative of the committee stated that the regular tools available to him prevented him from accepting the release request, and the intervention of the Kingdom’s embassy and its support for the request for conditional release had a positive effect in postponing the issuance of the decision to study the release request with the rest of the committee members and refer to a decision.”
