The artist, Rehab El-Gamal, revealed details of her disavowal from the movie A Girl in Dar al-Salaam for insulting Islam, saying: I was afraid of sedition, and I was afraid of the director, and I refused the Muslim man to go out in the galabiya while he offended Islam.
And she said during her interview with the media, Basma Wahba, on the “Al-Arafa” program broadcast on the “Al-Mehwar” satellite channel: “I accepted the role of the sadistic girl in the short film, and the message arrived without wearing inappropriate clothes,” Basma replied, “It was a scene but it was not suitable for showing in Ramadan.”
She also revealed the details of her threat to a harasser on her personal Facebook page, saying: “I am subjected to offensive insults, I respond to everyone, a long tongue, and I know I take my right with my tongue… I am not plastic, and I do not know the trend of Rania Youssef.”
And regarding the scenes of her entering the police station, she said: “I married a person and he lied to me and said that he was a police officer and knew how to swim well, but following the marriage I was surprised that he came out and did not know that he was a liar and not an officer, and he was arrested for impersonating an officer, but in fact he had an air-conditioning company.”
