The minor was taken to the CDI in La Chamarreta, where she was diagnosed with bruises.
A five-year-old girl was taken to a hospital following she was beaten and submerged in water by her grandmother.
The minor’s grandmother would be responsible for the attack, as reported by the Zulia State Police Corps (Cpez).
Through her Instagram account, the security agency reported the arrest of the 50-year-old citizen and explained how the attack occurred.
The fifty-year-old hit the infant with a cane and then proceeded to immerse her in a container of water.
Neighbors of the 13 de Abril sector, west of Maracaibo, alerted members of the West Maracaibo Police Coordination Center regarding this fact.
Agents arrived at the woman’s house to arrest her and place her under the order of the Public Ministry, reported the director of CPEZ, chief commissioner Sergio Villasmil, in the press release.
The minor was transferred to the La Chamarreta CDI, where she was diagnosed with bruises on her forehead as well as on various parts of her body.
