Al-Nasr Saudi Football Club confirmed, on Friday, the signing of a contract with the Portuguese player, Cristiano Ronaldo.
The club posted a picture on Twitter of the player carrying the national team’s shirt in his name.

The club added, on its Twitter account, “The club’s chairman, Musali Al Muammar, just signed a contract with football star Cristiano Ronaldo. The contract will extend until 2025,” accompanied by a picture of Ronaldo holding the club’s number seven shirt.
“The contract signing ceremony took place in the Spanish capital, Madrid,” he said, without disclosing the financial value of the deal.
Al-Muammar, President of Al-Nasr Club, said: “This deal is more than just writing a new historical chapter. This player is a higher example for all athletes and youth worldwide.”
He added, “With his presence in Al-Nassr, we will move forward towards achieving more successes for the club, Saudi sports, and for future generations.”
On the other hand, Ronaldo, 37, said in statements transmitted by the club’s account via Twitter: “I am eager to experience a new football league in a different country.”
The player emphasized, “The vision with which Al-Nasr Club operates is very inspiring, and I am excited to join my teammates, so that together we can help the team achieve more successes.”

The Saudi club Al-Nasr is considered one of the most successful clubs, and has won the first division title in the country nine times.
In August, the club announced its contract with Spanish defender Alvaro Gonzalez, on a free transfer, following the end of his contract with French Marseille, for one season, with the option to extend for another season.
