He asked for a briefing before the Egyptian parliament because of Mona Zaki

The crisis of the poster of the series “Under Guardianship” by the artist Mona Zaki is still a matter of controversy and discussion in the Egyptian artistic and even political circles, following it reached the Egyptian Parliament following a female deputy in Parliament submitted a briefing request addressed to the Prime Minister and Minister of Culture in Egypt.

The briefing request stated: “We inform your Excellency of the spread and circulation of claims and information regarding stopping the filming of the series “Under Guardianship” by the artist Mona Zaki, which is considered a transgression aimed at killing our soft power and spreading darkness and oppression once morest the creators, and we are submitting this request with the aim of putting an end to this transgression. We hope to refer this request to the Culture Committee for study, or to refer it to the plenary session for discussion in the presence of the ministers, whichever comes first.

This is not the first time that a briefing request has been submitted due to the work of the artist Mona Zaki, as the matter has already been repeated with her movie “Friends or Dearest”, where Representative Mahmoud Qassem, a member of the House of Representatives at the time, submitted an urgent statement to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, to direct it to a minister The culture at the time, regarding the content included in the movie “The Companions and the Dearest,” which conflicts with the system, morals, and morals to which Egyptians are accustomed.
