HC La Chaux-de-Fonds: Analysis of their recent loss and upcoming matches in the Swiss Ice Hockey League

The trip of HC La Chaux-de-Fonds was not a winner this Thursday. The Mélèzes hockey players returned empty-handed from Kleinholz in Olten, losing 5-4 in the Swiss Ice Hockey League. They suffered their third defeat of the season in six matches.

The Bees have not yet found their cruising speed at the start of the season. The Mélèzes players totally missed their start to the match by conceding three goals in 120 seconds, only to be led 3-0 in the 7th minute of play. Fortunately, there was a burst of pride and the Louis players Matte came back to 3-2 at the first siren and even equalized at 3-3 at the very start of the middle third. The Solothurn then came back by scoring two new goals in this intermediate third to lead once once more in this part thanks to the defensive generosity of Chaux-de-Fondnières. Loic In-Albon, author of a double on Thursday evening, praised the character of his team: “Between the second and third thirds, we said to ourselves that we had nothing to lose and gave everything”, this that Louis Matte’s players did but unfortunately punctured at the post.

Indeed, in the last period, the HCC once once more came back to the level of the Solothurn players by Loic In-Albon from the penalty spot for the 5-4 but the penalties at the end of the game were detrimental to the players of the Watchmaking Metropolis for leave with a positive result from Kleinholz, despite no goal being scored by Olten, out of no less than four penalties inflicted in quick succession on the Abeilles (!). The coach of HC La Chaux-de-Fonds, Louis Matte was also satisfied with the work in power-play and box-play of his players:

The HCC will now travel to the Zurich suburbs on Saturday to face the GCK Lions in the Swiss Cup, before meeting the same opponent on Tuesday October 3 in the championship at Les Mélèzes. /sdu-dje
